Thanks to Claire Barrett Photography we are in for quite a treat, times two!  Two brothers and their bride-to-be’s decided to collaborate and have a joint traditional Indian wedding .  Before the tale begins allow me to introduce you to our starring lovers.  In no particular order, purple dresses we have Maura and Vikas on the left and Yume and Umang on the right!  Now, let’s dig in!

SCENE #1: A PAIR OF BEAUTIES
The beautification process started a couple days prior to the wedding ceremony .  These brides experienced the Haldi Cleansing Ceremony where the groom’s female relatives rubbed Haldi and water over the bride and groom. They also shared in the adventure of the Mehendi fashionable custom where their hands and feet were adorned in elaborate Henna designs. These brides were definitely able to pull off the dual wedding while  maintaining their personal spin on makeup and color tones.  May I just say, they look absolutely stunning!!!

SCENE #2: A BROTHERLY DUO
After the 3 days worth of Punjabi wedding customs it’s finally time for the men to dress dress in the traditional groom’ white cocktail dress white cocktail dresss attire.  They wear a Sherwani suit and cap, in preparation of seeking out their brides.

SCENE #3 A PARADE OF LOVE
Filled with flowers, color, off the shoulder flower girl dresses off the shoulder flower girl dresses and dance, this procession is a vibrant illustration of support for the groom’s to go take their bride’s hands in marriage. However summer dresses for juniors , this isn’t the first time their guests have expressed their approval of these nuptials. Prior to the wedding day relatives and friends attended the joint Sangeet party where they participated in song and celebration.

These are the moments that I absolutely love, when a tradition is experienced in two very different fashioned weddings.  The blowing of the conch shell is to announce the arrival of the groom, and in this case grooms, which we just saw in last weeks Pacific Island Fusion Wedding.
